- It was family problems back home in Indonesia that caused Farah to reach out for encouragement and help. She attended the M28 Group for friendship, but God began to work in her heart. When she prayed to trust Christ, she shared how she felt freedom: “All the anger I had inside left and I now feel free.”
- Li attended an M28 study on campus in a group that included a Muslim and a Hindu. Even though each made progress spiritually in their understanding of Christianity, Li made a decision for Christ and now…is being coached to start an M28 Group in his workplace.
- Tao trusted Christ through an M28 Group, was baptized, and returned home. While being discipled on Skype, he introduced Bo to [M28] online and she began to study [God’s] Word. She decided to also follow [Jesus] and was baptized.
- “Praise God for this wonderful tool of the M28 program! It's like a key that helps us to unlock and open up a door for others to share in the treasure of God's Word!!” (Taipei, Taiwan)
- “Telling students the Truth of God's Word is not as meaningful as helping them discover it for themselves. This is just one of the ways that M28 is reshaping our thinking.” (a U.S. pastor)
- “I have been using…M28 in a discipleship group for troubled young adults for about a month. Ex-gang members, hustlers, and prostitutes are a part of this group. The Bible is coming alive to them, and the Holy Spirit is changing lives as they engage God through direct study of His Word.” (Austin, Texas)
- "I am in awe of the Spirit's leading in these [M28 Discovery Groups] and floored by the questions asked and observations made by these students who are reading Scripture for the first time. It is a privilege to journey alongside those who are so spiritually hungry for the Living Truth." (Tina, U.S.)

- M28 Background -
Some 20 years ago, God moved in the hearts of a number of church planters to reconsider the church planting process. They went back to the Scriptures and discovered that today’s western church may have made the process too complicated, and burdened it with western cultural baggage. As they stripped the process down to just the essentials, churches in their spheres of influence began to multiply rapidly. This movement became known as the organic church movement or CPM (Church Planting Movements). It is based on the Discovery Bible Study approach to truth discovery. According to this model (by David Watson and others), the Word of God and the Spirit of God are sufficient for anyone to follow Jesus. Anything we give people other than the Word of God (e.g. interpretations, background, theology, definitions, examples, etc.) carries with it cultural baggage which will thwart the natural growth of new churches in another culture.
The foundation of the M28 Global Discipleship model is the M28 Bible Discovery process. Once spiritual seekers or "persons of peace" have been identified, we meet with them and go over a simple Discovery process. Afterwards, they are encouraged to share truth they have discovered with others (friends, family, acquaintances, etc.) and report back what happened.
After 2-3 weeks of meeting, the group is closed to new people. Group members are encouraged to meet with any additional people by forming another group with those people and their friends. This can result in rapid spiritual multiplication.
